I'm currently preparing for the 2016 USS Strongman Nationals which will be held on June 11th, 2016. My training focus is to continue to get stronger and prepare and peak for the events at Nationals. I'm working with teammate Mike Mastell on my nutrition and programming.

Another "flip flop" session in the books. I was pretty excited to hit this session though because my Meadows Row handle came in late last week and it was my first time to get to use it. I used it for my suitcase rows and I loved it. Nothing too crazy about this session.

An interesting note, my hamstrings were wrecked after training events on Saturday. Everything I did taxed them. Sunday they were sore and beat up. After the light RDLs though, they felt great. I went that afternoon and got a good deep tissue massage. The lady literally walked on my traps, back, glutes, hamstrings and calves - it was great. I find this helps a ton with recovery and keeping me healthy.

Speaking of recovery, at the moment I'm doing self soft tissue work about 5-6 days a week, Epsom salt bath 1-2 x's a week and a massage 2-3 times a month. Sleep is 6-8 hours a night and nutrition is on point. Things are coming together really good.
