I had to push my DL day off until this weekend. My legs are just not recovering and needed more time. Exhausted is a good word. I have never struggled with hopping back into strongman training like this before, or if I did it didn't matter at the time because I didn't have specific and immediate goals that I can recall.

Rather than sticking with a specific program as I am experiencing this, I am going with the flow. I will determine day by day what works. At the start of training strongman again, my lifts were where they needed to be. So I will lighten things up up and see where the pieces fall.

Rolling/Mobility

DL

135, 3x5

225, 1x5

275, 1x3

then on to my working sets for the day

I was able to pin point some inconsistency with my DL. My struggle has been with my hamstring and likely subconscious concern about hurting it again. I was feeling it today and on my last set changed my set up and was pulling primarily with my quads and things went up much smoother. This is a clear indication that I have much more work to do on my hamstring.

Safety Squat Bar Box Squat

bar - 3x5

175, 1x5

265, 1x3

285, 3x3

Farmer Picks

sets with 240, 260, 280

My goal is to be back up over 300 and walk much further than the last time I did 300.

GHR - 3x5

Sledge rotations - 3x6

I had a brilliant idea to load the farmers using 100 lb plates which worked super well. Things went south when it was time to put everything away. I will for sure do it again next time but will probably pull the girl card when it's time to clean up. That part is total bogus.
