Florida – Iron House/2015 Florida’s Strongest Man – Level 2

December 12, 2015

Re-cap of training leading up to Florida's strongest man:

Trap bar deads (335lbs) with a 2 second hold to simulate the frame carry

Followed by:

snatch grip deads with the axel bar

Incline DB rows, band face pulls, band tricep pushdowns

Training has been on and off since visit to Ironhouse. I have a few minor aches here and there, and I want to train smart to prevent anything from worsening. Most important training days at this point is working the implements:

Circus DB Presses (80lbs) for a few sets of triples

Yoke Walks (400lbs) x 60ft - time: 12.07 seconds

Changes. Growth.

My training recently has been a big ol' smorgasbord. Don't mean it in a negative way but it isn't positive either. Big changes are happening on a personal level and I am just trying to sort everything out-- balancing life, responsibilities, and training. I have my good days, I have my bad days, and I have days where I question it all.

You probably have no idea what I am talking about but here is a clue:

Let's just say I am starting a new chapter in my life. I'm excited and I'm scared shitless. But what better time than now?

See you soon, Ohio.
