Summer is upon us and like usual, my training intensifies and I can spend more time in the gym. I have my plate full with business goals and things to accomplish on that end. Mattie has restructured my training a bit and there is not officially an "event" day at this point. I am in the early stages of my prep for Pro Women's Worlds in late October and am still eagerly awaiting the events to be listed so I can develop a more thorough plan.

Instructions were to implement fatigue stops @ 5%. On my third set, while my time improved I was also out of time.

Important Observations:

1. I switched my pressing shoes and used The Girl's. There was a big improvement with balance and stability as a result of the lower heel. My pressing shoes are nearly ten years old and I haven't replaced them although I have thought about it many times over the years.

The improvement with my stability is GREAT news and I not am now in full possession of gently used but beautiful pressing shoes. The Girl is still on crutches so she won't be missing them anytime soon.

2. The fatigue stops will be a fabulous way to monitor my performance but to learn more about my own warm ups with sets to achieve my best times.

3. It occurred to me that my training for nats never included actual timing of the events. I was so focused on the weight loss and just being able to complete the event that I never moved on and started timing myself. That was such a poor oversight and something I cannot forget coming into this new competition prep.

4. I am having some mobility issues in my shoulder and with my wrists for front squats. I need to increase the weight on them but my arms are just not able to cooperate with my leg strength.
