So I've finally gotten back into normal training post-Pan Am's, and Post [not doing] Nationals. We took 3 weeks to do a "Transition Block", which was really just a break from regular training. Still getting in the gym, and doing variations of the main lifts-- but just a totally different pace and much lower frequency and volume than normal. I felt like the "break" from regular training has really made a huge impact on me and my mentality, for a while I just didn't want to train at all. I wasn't excited about it, I wasn't having fun, it felt like a burden. But I knew that it would pass, and that Powerlifting always has it's highs and lows-- and post-meet time periods are usually my "lows".

With that-- it's back to normal training, and we're entering a Hypertrophy Focused Training Cycle. Very different from what I've been doing for the past ~6 months or so, so I'm looking forward to the change up! New things we're seeing are a different kind of split (looks more like an upper/lower type for now), and the introduction of "myo reps".
