Third week of benching and I’m not getting any closer to feeling confident. Going back to the basics with my thought process. We (at least I do) tell new lifters to run through a checklist until it becomes second nature. Making sure that I’m maintains tightness and intensity- ‘breaking the bar’; meeting my chest to the bar; driving bar over my face; using leg drive throughout the entire lift. Holding myself accountable because not being able to find my groove gets old and changes and actions need to be made.
