Perfect timing to get a stronger bench- 7 weeks out from a Deadlift only meet! (21 deadlift salute Sunday on the main stage at the Arnold Expo).

Lately I've been pretty lucky to have a good training crew with me at my gym.  Two of my training partners just did a meet last weekend (Justin Straight and Adam Privett) and they both hit PR's across the board. Two others are getting ready for meets coming up in March, Josh Cioca is lifting at 165 in the XPC Finals at the Arnold, and Hunter Collier is preparing for the Ohio High School State championships (at 160 we're hoping for at least 500 squat, 300 bench, and 585 deadlift). So, needless to say it's been a great training environment at my gym, The Strength Lab.

Bench:

Bar x 15, 135 x 10, 185 x 10.

225 x 5, 275 x 5, 315 x 5.

315 x 16 for a PR. I probably could have gotten a couple more but was happy with the relative easy of 16.

Overall, I felt great, the environment was great. Over the past few years my training crew has been hit and miss, it's great to have such a great crew right now with everyone training for meets and a few other good lifters mixed in. Hopefully it carries over for the next 7 weeks!
