Headed up to London to the Elitefts s4 compound for bench day. Despite being 6 weeks out from a Deadlift only meet, I've still been training upper body pretty hard and making some good progress in the bench. I love heading to eltiefts on Sunday's because it's max effort upper body. Over the past couple months I've tried to make it up there at least 3 out of every 4 Sunday's. Benching with guys like Dave Tate, Matt Smith, Ted Toalston and Steve Diel it's nearly impossible not to get better.

This week Ted Toalston, who I've been training with every week for the past few months, Steve Deil (700+ lb bencher) and I hit some floor presses with chains.

After some 10-15 minutes of light mobility work and getting some blood flowing, things got serious really quickly.

Bar x 10
135 x 10
225 x 8
315 x 3
315 + 1 chain per side x 1
315 + 2 chains per side x 1
315 + 3 chains per side x 1
315 + 4 chains per side x 1

The other guys hit a few more reps but the last one for me was a real struggle so I bowed out there.

From here we moved on to what may be my new favorite triceps accessory work, a modified JM press with the safety squat bar. The handles on the bar are removable so you can bring the pad right to your chest comfortably. These seemed to be a lot easier on my elbows than skull crushers or JM presses.
My sets were:
135x10
225 2x8

From here I cut my upper body workout short because my Metal Jack Deadlift Suit came in and I wanted to get some pointers from the multi ply guys that were there. After making a few adjustments with the suit I eventually worked up to a single at 405, just to see how the suit felt and what adjustments I needed to make when I put the suit on. I will probably pull in it 585 vs 2 elitefts average bands on Wednesday.
