One of my best friends, Nuke, came in to town to check out the gym and train. He was really the first person who told me anything about powerlifting. We were college friends and worked out together, and this was the first time anyone had ever mentioned powerlifting to me. This was my sophomore year of college, I played baseball, and as soon as I was doing playing my senior year, it was the perfect transition for me as an athlete.

Bench Press: (working on keeping my lats tight and tucking my elbows.)
bar x 5
135x5
225x3
275x2
315x2
365x2
385x2
400x2

The 385 I got a little lazy and it was the first set that wasn't really easy. On the 400 I reset and could tell that this was my best set, technique wise, and it was smooth and easy as could be. I was really happy with it.

Accessory work:
Neutral Grip Overhead Press 5x5

Db Tri Roll backs 3x10
Rear Delt Flys 3x10
band tri pushdowns 3x25

It was a great workout and great to catch up with Nuke. We only live 50 min apart, but his work schedule is crazy.
