I'm currently training for the 2019 USPA Nationals in Columbus, Ohio. After dropping a couple weight classes, this meet will be second showing at 198 and real return to raw powerlifting after a couple years wearing gear.

 Training

Bench - 405 x 5 x 2

Pretty happy with how this turned out. Started a little slow but ended up good. I was having a little pain on the left side, but got that sorted out this morning. I had some nasty knots in the subscapularis that was causing some dysfunction through the pec and proximal bicep. After getting worked on I felt better immediately.

Incline Bench - 265 x 3 x 5 with a shoulder saver

Two things- I WANT one of those giant 0-90 benches that elitefts sells. That thing was a monster. Second, I need to buy a shoulder saver. We use a bench block for this kind of stuff, but the shoulder saver is way nicer for the incline.

Dumbbell Bench - 100 x 3 x 15

Machine Chest Supported Row - RPE x 3 x 10. Don't recall the weight, just the effort.

Pushdowns - Same as above. 3 x 20 to get a pump, didn't even bother to look at the weight just adjusted on feel.

Chest Supported IYT - 9lb fat bells, 3 x 10

Really fun training weekend down at elitefts. Grateful for Dave having us in and letting my whole group come. The facility is amazing and the group there is awesome to be around. Of course spending some time with Dave, hearing his war stories and getting to know him a little better was great. Makes me wish I was a little closer and could make that trip on a more regular basis.

Only a few weeks left! Today's chiro appointment worked out a couple nagging issues. Feeling great about this meet.
