I wasn't feeling like participating in Bench night with the Crew tonight. Still have a bit of a cold which I have had for over 2 weeks now and I can't seem to shake it. I sucked it up and put in some work and I feel much better about myself already.
I could have used a lot of excuses tonight, too hot, too tired, too sick, too busy at work, too stressed, it's off season. The excuse train never stops, it's knowing when to suck it up and realize you will never get to your goal if you keep on passing on your training days.
I have been working hard on my bench post shoulder surgery and I am loving the "No Pain" I am having. 8 months post shoulder surgery and I will prevail with a bigger bench.
BENCH
Bar 45 lbs x 10
75 lbs x 10
95 lbs x 5
135 lbs x 3/2/2/2
TSUNAMI LAT PULLDOWNS (P.R. tonight, up from 90 lbs to 105)
105 lbs x 10/10/10/10
DUMBELL TRICEP KICKBACKS
20 LBS X 10/10/10/10
BANDED TRICEP EXTENTIONS (Killer tri's) 100 reps
25/25/25/25
Short, sweet and too the point. If I want a bigger bench I need to work my lats and my triceps, simple as that.
It's confirmed Ken and I are on Team Canada for the Worlds, I have set some pretty big goals for November.
