Everyone who follows me via Instagram knows I've developed a passion for yoga. It's challenging in so many ways - mostly mental. But my practice has shifted into my personal life, not just my active life. I've always found it challenging to be present. I was always worried, always anxious, and it prevented me to observe the now. Overtime, I've noticed a change in that. I've become less concerned about the future or what's to come next.

With that being said capturedpgh challenged everyone in the Burgh to go out in the community and strike a pose. Only the twist is it's not about the yogi, it's about showcasing photographers within our community.

Challenge accepted, and there's no one more creative behind the lens than my friend Courtney Powell. She owns a men's boutique in Lawrenceville. Without even stepping foot into the place, between the storyline and her photography work, it screams passion, heart, and authenticity. You'd want to pay a visit after hearing about it. I thought this was a cool challenge for her to get out there and expose her work in a different way.

A few weeks later they announced the winners, and we were one of them! Now my practice and her work will be displayed in the Open Air Photography Gallery in Shadyside.

With yoga came an opportunity. With an opportunity came a challenge. Chain of events to make something happen if you see the bigger picture. And I think that's pretty freakin cool.
