The gym opened for a few hours on Christmas, and since Seth and I had no family obligations we couldn't think of anything we'd rather do after opening presents than deadlift. It was really neat to see how many people came to the gym to train on Christmas day, it was PACKED.
Deadlifts felt good, I was nervous getting going since my SI was a bit iffy the last two weeks. It wasn't until I tried doing paused squats that it acted up a bit. I headed to my new chiropractor the next day and it felt much better.
Deadlifts off floor w/chains
135x2x5
225x5
245x5 - add 40lbs chain
245x5 - add 80lbs chain
245x5 - add 120lbs chain
I should have been more aware of my midget status when I was setting these chains up... Yeah, not enough chains coming off the ground as you can tell in the video. I'll have to adjust the chains next time I do these.
Pause squats - no good
135x5
185x5
215x1 - This was straight away a 'nope, don't do anymore'. Shut it down.
GHR
4x8
Kbell row
32kgx4x8
Pull up
3x8
These were supposed to be pull downs, but the pull down machines had a large group of people working in on it, so I improvised.
