Todays training started off real slow for me, as I mentioned in my "Intro Video" I am pretty big into cars, this is why it started off slow.

So a select few Team EliteFTS members are into cars, everyone has their own style and add their own modifications to make their car more appeasing to themselves.

I know Dave Tate has some personalized touches on his SUV.  Every time I see it I always laugh and imagine him as a trap star (I barely knew what that was, so if he sees this I'm sure google will be used) rolling through the hood with Joey Smith in the passenger seat. Either way the SUV looks sick and I was surprised to learn it was Dave Tates.

Brandon Smitley also has a liking for cars, he just upgraded his challenger to an R/T I believe, so like his car, he is not all show and no go. I have a suspicion that coach Smitley has a heavy foot.

So why does any of this matter? After the XPC Finals I realized I was lacking balance in my training, working, and personal life. I recently got back into a sportier car which gave me another outlet to relieve stress and not focus 100% on powerlifting. It provides a common interest to some old friends that I have not seen in a very long time allowing for more opportunities to "chill" with others outside of the powerlifting realm.

So prior to todays training session I was attempting to lower my car a little more (making it look more aggressive) and install something called wheel spacers, basically to give the car a more aggressive look. The spacers would push the rim further out towards the outside of the wheel well. SO long story short I attempted to install these right before my training session and they looked GREAT but ended up not working because all four tires where rubbing against the wheel well's lol.

So I was late to training and it threw me off for the first exercise of the session but, the pain caught up real quick on my first moderate set of floor press and got my ass focused. I have been dealing with elbow pain due to my lats for quite a while know and floor press minority aggravated them because of the high volume and short rest periods.

The worst part of the day was by far working my calves, these muscles have not gotten a lot of love since forever ago. A super set of standing and seated calf raises followed by a finisher consisting of an occluded seated calf raise madly was a awful (in a good way) to end a training session.
