Today was a tipping point and yet again another easy/hard decision to make. I'm taking a break from Union. For obvious reasons. To remove myself completely. To put my mental/spiritual health first. Whether I was in denial thinking things could be somewhat normal, they aren't. And I'm facing that reality. Again, with a meet coming up, I'm not worried. Really.
This means many gyms in the Pittsburgh area will be my home gym. I will have to improvise movements and just make the best of it. I mean really, if you have a goal, inconveniences just make it more interesting.
I'm still anxious and excited about the meet which caught me by surprise. And I'm holding on to those emotions to keep me focused. Lonas from calloused hands and Curtis who is part of our lifting crew have graciously offered their support and will be handling me at the meet. Joe Lucas who is training under Josh Bryant - I'm excited to see his progress and performance on the platform. It will be a good day.
Todays short and sweet training session:
Warm up: leg press (no weight) 3 x 10
RDLs with fatbells 2 x 10
Deads 315lbs 5 x 2
Banded Good mornings with SSB 3 x 10

In the past month I've gone down from 138 to 130. I had to order new gear a size smaller. Until then raw training it is. Calm, cool and collected.
