Training from earlier in the week....

The knee has gone bonkers since my last squat day. It's ginormous, looks like my bursa is going to burst wide open like a giant pimple. Every motion and movement has once again become very painful. That's my sign to get back on track and do my rehab program faithfully.

Foam Rolling

Stir The Pot

Box Jumps - 3x6

Grippers

S - 1x5

.5 - 1x5

1 - 1x5

2 - 1x5

2 - 1x2, 1x3 1x2

Trap DL

180 - 1x5

270 - 1x3

360 -2x2  This was my target weight at 80% for 6x2 and I was forced to back down since the knee wasn't feeling too hot. I hate that. Tried to get some GHR in but I was not able to even get into position with the pressure on my knee.

320 - 4x2

3" Block Pinch

32 lbs - 3x5

I was trying something out on these and for each rep I held it for a mental count of five.  It didn't fry me like I was hoping it might.

Prowler - 4x50 ft

As you can tell, I did not compete at the LA FitExpo. I am not completely sure on my next competition. I received an invite for the 2015 Arnold Classic Mas Wrestling Cup a few weeks ago. I am trying to determine if it is possible to make the trip although my heart is in competing.

Once we opened our facility a few years back, my life as a competitor changed. At the time I had no idea the changes I was facing. Not only has my own training been dramatically impacted in terms of accessibility and scheduling, my ability to travel to competitions has also been significantly impaired. I struggle with these things because first and foremost I want to train like I used to which is basically whenever I wanted and could walk out the door into our home gym. Competing was always on my terms and what I wanted to do and when. At the end of the day it is an excellent problem to have.
