Let me tell you about my dinner this past weekend while I'm at it..
Yessie came in Friday night around 7 so I was cooking dinner for us.
Salmon seasoned with lemon, pepper, and asian zing sauce
Served on top of salad (mixed greens, spinach, carrots, cucumbers, edamame-just the beans)
Saturday
I met up with my good friend from college. He is an accountant and lives on the opposite side of the city with his wife and son, so we don't get together all that often. We had reservations at Ten Penny in downtown Pittsburgh at 7pm. Yessie and I showed looking dapper, as usual. Matt and his wife were stunning as well.
Service was not so good all night. However we were not in a hurry and the food was damn good.
Appetizers- fried brussel sprouts and some kind of flatbread that was amazing
Dinner
Shrimp and scallop risotto was freakin awesome. Yessie order pecan crusted mahi but got something that looked like salmon served over barley. She was hungry and polite and scarfed it down without a complaint. I like that girl.
Sunday
Salad, same as Friday. (I'm eating more salad because I'm not worried about putting on weight during my time off. I'm still eating as much as possible, just a little healthier.)
Burgers seasoned with (2 each):
garlic salt and pepper
mesquite bbq rub
coffee rub
I ate two and yessie at two. Her's were naked because she's cutting carbs. Mine was on a toasted bun. Both were with avocado and bacon. GOOD STUFF.
I also had a hankerin' for ice cream so I headed to a local homemade ice cream joint for two scoops in a waffle cone- oreo on the bottom, dark chocolate and fudge on top. Finished before I got home.
