At this time my strongman schedule is not yet determined leading into the fall. I am slowly working back into grip training with several opportunities, goals and competitions on the horizon which may also include Highland Games late this fall. My training time has been extremely limited due to actual physical access to the equipment due to exploding gym hours and new members. While it's a great problem to have, I long for the days of having a home gym so I could train whenever I want to.

My hamstring has just not recovered from the injury Mas Wrestling. It feels fine most of the time but when engaging in simple activities, it starts screaming with weakness. Hamstring strength has never really been a glaring issue like it is right now so every chance I get I am just trying to wreck it.

In addition to training, I went throwing to get into my groove and assess Highland Games possibilities. I gotta tell you, my mind is blank on body positioning on LWFD and HWFD. While The Girl was helpful, I need a couple sessions alone to help me remember and have it come back to me. I also got in some bike riding which was cool. It did some nice damage to my hamstring and I am looking forward to doing it consistently just to hang out with The Boy.

The Festering Grip Challenge....

I haven't had an opportunity to test out my new festering challenge https://www.elitefts.com/training-logs/dlanother-challenge/

Tonight is date nite on the patio. Lame, I know. One on one time with Big Bald is exceptionally rare these days. Life is consumed with business, not to mention the kids' overscheduled summer. I will get that three year business review up very soon.

However, when we have a spare evening alone, typically we would run up into the mountains and camp for the night. I need a break from running everyone around so we decided to do patio night.

Patio night is code for big ole rib eye steaks, twice baked potatoes, asparagus, loud music, fire, potentially roller skating, and a perfect opportunity for my grip challenge.  I'll keep you posted if it pans out.
