Currently: 5 Weeks into Post-Meet Training

I listened to an interview with Guy Ritchie (filmmaker of movies like Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Sherlock Holmes, etc...) and he had some really interesting insight on how we perceive the world around us. He talked about how we can easily start to let other's opinions of us shape who we are, and how if we spend all of our time complaining about how the world around us works, we lose the opportunity to take ownership over ourselves. This quote in particular stuck out to me, and I think it applies to a lot of things (including powerlifting):

"What's the expression? Don't hate the player, hate the game? ..Don't hate the game. Love the game, 'cause you're in it mate. Own the game."
