On day two of the DMS course, we woke up, and tried to locate some half decent food in time for our earlier start. I was unsuccessful on this mission, which caused us to be about 10 minutes late, and I get anxiety about being late for anything so my nervous system was all sorts of riled up when we arrived!

We worked on hip mobility, and assessments for the bench press and deadlift. With each observation from the assessment, we addressed the deviations. causes and corrections. We practised a few different setups for the bench press, and the deadlift. Again, just like the day before, I didn't put more than 115 on the bar.

During the deadlift assessments I had Duffin take a look at my pull and we discovered that I was 1. rushing my setup and 2. not wedging under the bar enough. This was really interesting for me to find out since I take my dear sweet patient time setting up for both squats and bench press. I'm interesting in trying this in training and seeing the outcome since I'm forever searching for that big pull.

We discussed programming, mental prep, and finished off with a Q&A. Of course he also showed off his shoulderok as well!

All in all, the course was very well run, and I would recommend it to both veteran trainers and newbie lifters.
