I'm currently in the early stages of preparing for 2016 USS Strongman Nationals which will be held on June 11th, 2016. My training focus is to continue to get stronger overall, continue adding some size and start working in strongman events again. I'm working with teammate Mike Mastell on my programming.
I've competed nearly 25 times and I've never had the Conan's wheel as an event nor have I trained the event. And we even have a Conan's wheel implement at the gym and have for years. Well today that changed. IT definitely sucked, but just because it's new and I'm not conditioned for carries quite yet. It did fell a bit awkward having to lean slightly while walking a big circle. Definitely had the hips and lower back screaming and tight. I do like the event though and I'm looking forward to improving on it.
