We made it!

We left Sunday afternoon to move from Ottawa, Ontario to Calgary, Alberta. The total drive time was 36 hours and we arrived Wednesday afternoon. We had separate vehicles for the drive which made it a pretty hard drive for me. Staying up for the long drive meant an absurd amount of caffeine and crappy food. I'll probably spend at least two weeks bloated because of it. We camped along the way at a few really nice spots, it definitely made the trip feel more like an adventure.

Our first day in Calgary we went to the Repsol center to get in a light training session and a swim in the olympic pools. I got in as good of a workout as I could, but my body felt the weakest it has in a very long time. I worked on light close grip bench and some shoulder and arm fluff. Swimming was very unsuccessful... Essentially I remembered that I can't actually swim about five seconds into trying to swim a lap. I was hoping to start swimming as a recovery/conditioning session, but I'll need a lesson or two before that can happen.
