After Tuesday I realized that the fatigue I was feeling wasn't just a bad night's sleep. I started having stomach pain and some other issues that don't need explained. I called my doctor, got the lab tests ordered, and set up an appointment for next week.
I'm experiencing my first Ulcerative Colitis flare. It's like I'm 10% of the way INTO what the hell of the first diagnosis felt like. I don't want to whine or complain, but for perspective purposes I didn't sleep longer than one hour for at least two months. I went to the bathroom every hour, or more. I laid on the couch with the worst stomach pains and rectal pains I could imagine. It was hell. I wouldn't wish it on anybody.
So I'd like to avoid that again. That's why I didn't hesitate to call my doctor. I know the human body adapts to any and all stimuli. I'd be willing to bet that my body has become used to the humira and I may need something new.
OR I need to do a better job of managing stress. This would be a help regardless. So, tonight, after I'm done updating my training log, I'm going to lay out what I want everyday to look like- from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed.
