Last Sunday was a max effort lower body session at Apollon.

Most of the guys were free squatting with 3 chains, so I decided to go at it raw, since I'm not prepping for the XPC Finals yet. I did of course wear knee wraps, because I couldn't totally turn my back on gear, could I?

The most I've squatted in an belt and wraps is 530 some time ago. So as a goal for the day, I wanted to take 500lbs with the chains (about 120ish). While not exactly the same, this would be enough to indicate I've gotten stronger raw (while rarely ever training that way).

Long story short I made it, and I learned an important lesson. Never wear adidas shorts while raw squatting, because the lines on the legs will make you look sky-high on video.

I didn't have time for much after this, because I had to meet up with the wife and kid for pumpkin picking.

I have no idea why chicks like pumpkin picking. I usually call it pumpkin carrying, because that's pretty much all I do once the kid finds the pumpkin he likes 3 minutes into it.

Also, I get to spend time around everything I'm allergic to, including dust, hay, and farm animals.

Pumpkin picking sucks.
