So Nationals is about ~2-3 weeks away and I'm feeling... Not great. When I say not great, I don't mean mentally down on myself, or insecure, or anything like that-- I just mean I feel run down. Competing at Pan-ams, having to deal with international travel and a harsh weight cut, coming back and playing catch up with all of Life's responsibilities that were put on hold (but not really because things kept happening-- thus requiring me to catch up). To be honest-- I'm looking forward to having a break from competing. I feel emotionally and mentally fatigued, as well as physically exhausted. Part of this could just be that I'm not physically recovered from traveling/competing yet-- which is why I'm trying to really listen to my body in these coming weeks. Gaining strength isn't the main priority right now-- getting recovered is.
