Do you get thanked enough for what you do for others? Do you thank people enough for what they do for you? Sometimes a little gratitude goes a long way. As simple as a thank-you to the stranger who held the door for you.
As a gym owner we have lots of people come to us for help. Help with their technique, help with their programming and some just come for the awesome equipment we have. Regardless of why they come, the outcome should still be the same.
Today I was asked why I like being a part of Team Elitefts. My response was because I can offer so much to help others. My journey, my knowledge, my stories go hand in hand and if I can help just one person achieve their goals then I have succeeded in "Living, Learning and Passing On"
I want to share this email I got a couple weeks ago after we had a young couple come to train with us. This hit me hard and I was full of "Gratitude" to them, for taking the time to thank me and how much of an impact I was.
This post is not about me at all, it's about giving thanks and appreciating the special things in life that aren't normal, and the things that are.
Here is the email I got:
Hey Sheri I just wanted to thank you for taking time with Bethany yesterday, She usually has a hard time getting comfortable with new people n usually Hates going new places, but all I've heard is how thankful she is to have met you and how thankful she is to you for helping her, everywhere she goes she feels like she's a wasting people's time but not yesterday. So thank you, having that happen for her is bigger than anything anyone can do for me so in very grateful for what you did yesterday.
I can't even begin to tell you how much this message meant to me. At the time when you are giving help you don't know what to expect. You don't know if you are having a positive impact on someone or if they just plain out think you are bat shit crazy.
I truly hope I have a positive impact on people I come in contact with, not only my family and friends but my co-workers, my rivals, online followers and complete strangers.
Thank you to everyone who also inspires me to be the best I can be. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey, your story, your life.
