Yep, you read it right, I benched with my legs back down on the floor. My pec/biceps tendon on the left was throbbing, so I put the shoulder saver on. The plan was to just bench and see what was tolerable for my back and pec. Fortunately, other than some tightness, all went fine.
Luckily this was a deload and a great time for this experiment. I tend to make capricious decisions, so for right now I just need to be happy for the evening's results. I don't know what next week will bring, but I am cautiously optimistic.
