Getting ready for 2016 USS Nationals I was in a different position. For the first time ever I wasn't cutting or watching my weight to make weight. I was actually comfortably underweight. Do you know what that means? More calories. Specifically more carbs.
With my lowest days around 500, medium days around 600 and high days pushing 800 - I was eating A LOT.
So what do the majority of my carbs consist of:
Rice
Granola
Rice Krispies (honorable mention)
I find that I'm able to get more total carbs in while not getting as full as I do with some other carb sources. I feel you get more bang for your buck here. In other words, you can eat less and get more carbs (granola) or you can just eat keep eating and eating without getting full (rice). I found days I may have been lagging on my carbs a quick bowl of Rice Krispies with Fairlife Milk was a quick, easy and tasty source. Sure, I get carbs from other sources, but these became and continue to be my go-to sources to get that much volume.
