Not training is going a lot better than I thought it would. I'm not missing the stresses of training- that includes in the gym and out.
For a month or two before I pulled out of the Arnold, I was dreading every other training session for one reason or another- injury, things felt heavy, technique was shitty. My head was in the gutter. I needed the mental reset as bad or worse than I needed the physical reset. I feel great now. I have things to keep me busy. Now come week 5 or 6 I'll be freaking out and ready to go- but that's the way it should be.
Physically- my glute and hamstring have cramped up just trying to sit down a couple times. It's strange and a little painful and obviously has something to do with the build up of injuries. However it's feeling less 'twingy' every day.
I have done literally nothing for 3 weeks besides walking Odi 1/2 mile every day. Lily is out of commission with a bad shoulder- she's been limping for a week or two so we're taking it easy with her and resting, like her father.
This is week #4. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the Arnold. I think after this weekend I'll get with Dave and Dani and come up with a rehab plan and figure out when I should start training again. When I figure out what that is, I'll share it with you...maybe.
