Ok so last weekend Anthony had a work related thing in South Carolina so I tagged along (it was also my birthday weekend).

First of all, let me touch on the most important part. I FUCKING LOVE BOJANGLES’. Being a yank who has spent little time in the south, I have never had the pleasure of touching a buttery Bojanes’ biscuit to my northern lips. They are buttery and flaky and salty and and not of this earth. I horded the biscuits and did not stop talking about them the rest of the trip. Much to my chagrin, you can not get Bojangles’ biscuits shipped.

But good news! Ohio is an avilable state for a Bojangle’s franchise (yes I looked it up) so if I can get like 30 people to pitch it, we can open a Bojangles’ RIGHT HERE!!!

OH I also had a BO BERRY dessert biscuit fuck it exceeded expectations based on the picture.Oh god now I need me some more ‘jangles.

We were staying outside of Columbia and if you look up “things to do in Columbia”, one of the top suggestions is looking at the wall of the statehouse that got hit with cannonballs during the Civil War. So Columbia is definitely poppin’.

Saturday I was chillin by myself and if I don’t mind saying so, I’m pretty great at coming up with shit to do on my own while I’m traveling. I went to an outdoor market with food trucks and what not (the food trucks are the most important part so I’m glossing over the other vendors and bric a brac) and had a belgian waffle breakfast sandwich with gravy, a QUART of lemonade (I was so full og sugar water) and a cake pop. Not too shabby of a breakfast.

I had some time to kill until my historic home tour so I walked around the grounds of the statehouse and saw a FREE TOUR. So of course I went on the free statehouse tour. Which thankfully started with a 15 minute video because it is fucking hot down there and I walked around too much. Did you know the statehouse has some of the tallest columns in America? Wowee!!

OH ALSO in this episode of real life national treasure- when they start a session at the statehouse, they put a SWORD in a holder and it turns on some lights to signify the beginning of the session. That’s fucking wild.

Then I skeedaddled to my historic home tour. Then I got some BBQ.

On my birthday day we had an opportunity to go to Spud’s gym. The gym was awesome! He is a cool dude. There were a few geared people there (one from Columbus) so I spent some time assisting and spotting and giving unsolicited advice. I intended on doing lower and upper that day but just did a mix of lower and back work since I spent more time jabbering. It was quite nice.

Then we went to a national park where we saw a variety of wildlife including: crawfish and a maybe dead turtle. And some dogs. Then we had some more bbq and played mini golf where I got my ass kicked (I’m not athletic which is why I now do powerlifting).

Ok so that’s what I do with my non-training life.

Oh also I saw some Confederate flags so that was fucking weird.
