Today, 10 members of the North American Outlaw Kettlebell Club participated in a one hour long cycle charity event. This years cause was MS.
MS effects thousands of lives and if we can help in some small way then we will. Team Outlaws raised over $695 for MS and had some fun with this event.
I just want to take a moment to thank each and everyone of you who participated in the event and who contributed money towards this great cause. It's because of people like you who make the world a better place.
So, about this one hour long cycle. For those who don't know long cycle is a fancy word for Clean and Jerk in the Kettlebell world. I wasn't going to be that particular that we had to just do clean and jerks for the entire hour as some arms would get pretty sore. I gave my members a choice. If they got tired they could switch it up and do some other moves. It's all for fun and raising money. I also allowed breaks as required, one hour not setting the bell down and without a drink is a pretty damn long time.
Bethany and Shannon did not set their bells down for the entire hour. Clean and jerks for 60 mins, Kudos to Shannon and Bethany, they are determined and focused to say the least. They are also two of my certified instructors.
The last 2 mins, a must watch to the end.
To Bethany, Shannon, Carri, Victoria, Tracy, Vivian, Cathi, Catherine, Cheryl thank you for participating, and big thanks to our photographer Ken!
There is still time to donate, or check out the website here.
Until next time, keep on swinging. This is what we looked like at the end of a one hour event.
