Last heavy squat before the meet. I was excited to make an appearance at Union and train with the crew. I missed and needed the atmosphere more than ever. Not knowing how things will pan out is nerve wrecking but it's part of the process. The support made me feel at ease.
warm up: RDL's with fatbells 3 x 10 (light)
Raw warm up 135lbs 2 x 5, 185lbs x 5, 225lbs x 2
Briefs: 275lbs x 2, 325lbs x 1, 365lbs x 1
I was contemplating my jumps. 365lbs felt slow but with gear, if technique is slightly off, it'll look like crap. Also, feeling slow and looking fast are two different things (it's all in your head). I wanted confidence over anything. The guys said 400 and turn it up. I committed.
400lbs x 1 and technique looked my best in the last few weeks.
