Although I squatted on Sunday, Casey advised that I did one more squat session in before I cut training completely and focus on dropping weight and blood flow work. Depending on how squats felt, I was either working up to my last warm-up or first attempt.

BW squats to a box 3 x 10

As usual, I warmed up and squatted as if it were meet day. I didn't take my time but I didn't rush either. Knowing how meet days usually are, with 100 people trying to warm up, I increased weight 50lbs each set.

Bar/95/135/185/225 (last warm up)

Squats felt great, depth was good, and speed was there. I went on to do my opener. Jordan and Andy were gracious enough to help out with depth call and knee wrapping.

After the fact, Jordan mentioned the texas squat bar is about 50-55lbs. I dismissed it because I wasn't going to worry about counting exact weight on the bar, I just wanted to be ready to go since weight was loaded (this is where I test myself mentally). "275lbs" felt great and cut it there.
