Because of the holiday last week, moving, and taking on a few new clients, my week was SLAMMED! There was no way at all I could fit in training with John who has been helping me in the shirt. He works full time, trains and has a family and I try my best to be respectful of his time.
I wouldn't be able to get my shirt training in until Friday, which wouldn't give me enough recovery for my deadlift training. After talking with Steve, He told me to just do some light benching and accessory. I am really glad that I did, because even the light weight I was benching felt heavy enough.
I did my training at the closing party of the Merivale YMCA, where a lot of local powerlifters have been training for a long time. I had never been there before, but it was a great environment to be a part of. Lots of the lifters were hitting PRs for the occasion!
Many of the powerlifters at the Y are coming to train at my gym, so it was good to meet some of those people and see some familiar faces as well!
