Training continues. Logging, not so much. I am caught up in the end of the school year crazy, tying up all of the loose strings for the summer. One week left to go and then all attention returns back to the gym and I am free from "The Man" for a little bit.

We are going on our THREE year anniversary in our facility. Crazy how fast that time flew by. Perhaps a write up to where we are with things is appropriate. There are all sorts of awesome things happening, I feel bad that I haven't been able to post it all. I have also withdrawn from most social media due to it once again becoming a circus side show act where there is an over abundance of genius lifters, marketing gurus, the next greatest thing or smarty pants. On social media they gets likes and validation from like minded individuals and that really is great people have those connections. In real life, those are usually the kids who get beat up at recess regularly. To borrow a line from Skip, "Just sayin'."

However, my favorite thing about summer is some of the best stuff I write for elitefts happens then because I have the time to sit at the computer. Things are getting a bit stale up in here so it's time to shake it up. Maybe I'll go for broke. It will be fun to see. I always long for the possibility of not teaching so I can post what's really on my mind. My log does very well as it is now, but that would push it to epic proportions. Yeah, that would be cool and you all would be nodding your heads in unison while reading and screaming out, "Preach it," every paragraph or so. Until then, this is all as close as it gets.

OK, on to press days from last week.I will just fast forward and post this week next.

Log #1 - 10" Log
The day before I did this, Lacy "I'll Pretend That I am Stronger Than You" Okey posts up that she strict pressed a 170 log. That's an impressive feat and was a huge accomplishment. Like usual, my mind starts going crazy wondering what I can do. I was crossing my fingers really hard.

80, 3x6
100, one strict, one push press
120, one strict, one push press
140, one strict, one push press
160, one strict, was so excited I forgot the push press.

After the fact I realized that Lacy's 170 strict was a 12" log and she's a midget. Well, I knew that part. Just saying that her snausage arms do have some benefits from time to time. Lacy and I weren't exactly comparing apples to apples on this challenge so this one is a draw for now.

Strict Press
130, 3x5

Close Grip
155, 3x3

Had to jet out to make an attempt at getting to work on time. I will NEVER get over how bizarre it is to pretend like it's normal to have 7:15 am meetings.
