We woke up and trained legs first thing, swam, and then hit the Scioto river trails and rode 15- miles and even found a hidden gem (flower garden).

Like most of the summer, weekends have been, training has been garage based. I've spent the better part of 6 years locked in a gym; I needed some air and space before I made another push at the Arnold- again.

Kettlebell

Stiff legged KB to heels, we did these for sets of 10 for a 5-minute cluster.

We walked 1 mile with the weighted vest I wore 65 pounds- this kills the upper back believe it or not.

We did some "quad ups" banded, lunges and one-legged box squats. Finished up with some kettlebell swings and sled work. These days are brutal, never thought I'd get such a good pump and amount of work in doing an outdoor workout. I love it.

Went for a dip in the lake, ate, napped and then biked a leisurely 15 miles.

All in all, it was just the perfect day, crazy active, ate right, drank good, and trained hard, all while being outside.
