Got a little behind on the log, so I'm including this past weeks bench and squat work together to get things back on track.

Sunday was a squat day at Apollon and the exercise was a cambered bar box squat with 3 chains. Since I'm getting ready to compete in full meets again, I'm starting to use gear for all squat workouts (and some deadlift sessions) Since my tight jack has been challenging to jump right back into, I used a loose pro suit bottom that I got when I was heavier. It doesn't give me much, but that's the point for right now.

Warmed up with the bar (60), and went:

150 x 5

260 x 1

310 x 1

350 x 1

400 x 1

440 x 1

490 x 1

540 x 1

I don't have a pr for this setup (not a recent one anyway), but I was pretty happy with this since I am just getting back into lower body work in general.

Moved on to glut ham raises for 4 sets of 10, then some incline sit-ups.

Monday was a shirt day, and I was looking forward to taking a new Ace shirt to a touch for the first time. I had previously taken 545 to a 1 board, so I figured 585 would be able to touch.

Warmed up with the bar, then went:

135 x 5

185 x 5

225 x 1

275 x 1

315 x 1 - felt heavy... losing weight sucks.

shirted up and went:

405 - 3 board

495 - 2 board

545 - 1 board

585 - touch

Overall it was a pretty solid touch and moved decently well. I'm not doing anything to the shirt in terms of jacking it, just putting it all the way on and letting it ride. After the 585, I took 635 to a two board, this time pulling the collar down and creasing it behind the triceps. It moved nicely, so I'll continue to experiment with this set-up.

Moved on to some upper back stuff and called it a day.
