Last Sunday was a max effort squat session at Apollon, and our second day of the Circa-Max cycle.
As we did last week, we used some extreme band tension, (two heavies and an average) totaling around 500 or so at the top. This time, rather than a percentage based session, we were working up to a max, still on a box.
After gradually warming up to the three bands, I went up as follows.
110 x 1
200 x 1
240 x 1
290 x 1
330 x 1
380 x 1
400 x 1
420 x 1
The 420 was a grind, but a clean rep. I called it there because given the tension at the top, I was already well above my max squat at the top range of the movement.
We are typically all pretty shot after doing something like this, so I finished with 5 sets of reverse hypers and 5 sets of pulldown abs.
