Sunday was a max effort day in the squat, and the exercise was a box squat with the large cambered squat bar. I'm still breaking in my new Ace squatter (until I can get my mitts on the new Metal Canvas that's being worked on). Here's how I worked up:
Bar (60) x a bunch
150 x 5
240 x 1
330 x 1
Put Original Pro Brief on
420 x 1
470 x 1
510 x 1
Put Ace suit bottoms on
560 x 1
600 x 1
650 x 1
My gear was really tight, and I was having trouble sitting back, so I got a little bent over with the 650. I made it, but it was a grind, and I didn't feel like I had another strain in me after that.
Finished with 4 sets of glute ham raises, 4 sets of hip adduction and 4 sets of pulldown abs.
Monday was a bench day, and since I'm gearing up for a fall meet, it's time to start working shirted boards again.
Started raw, and went:
bar x a bunch
135 x another bunch
185 x 5
225 x 1
275 x 1
315 x 1
Added shirt and a 3 board
405 x 1
Went to a 2 and a half board
495 x 1
585 x 1
635 x 1
675 x 1
705 x 1
Didn't get a ton of pop off the board on the 675, so I pulled the collar down more than I'm used to on the 705, and that did the trick.
Felt great to get 700+ in my hands again, and I'm looking forward to some full range work in the shirt to really figure this new one out.
Next up were some cable rows and some dumbbell flys to finish up.
