Casey has been full of surprises and spontaneity this past week. I LOVE to dress up every so often but it has been said that Pittsburgh is the worst dressed city. If you've never been, it's just a very relaxed place, small town type of feel where you always bump into someone you know. One of the reasons why I love it so much here. Dress to impress is not priority, it's about enjoying the people you're with- friends and family. But putting on a dress and heels ain't so bad either. I'm still from Miami.
He got tickets to the Riverlife Charity event from work. We took the opportunity to dress and impress and stay out past our bedtime. Drink a little and tour the city and scenery. It was a pleasant time and I couldn't have asked for a better date.
A few days later, he asked if I wanted to go see Gary Clark Jr. play live at Stage AE. I've heard of him before but if you like blues and guitar, I think you can appreciate any artist that plays with their heart and soul. I was in. Another day we took full advantage of. We laughed, we cried, and we danced. It was such a great time. And there's something about blues that just makes you feel like another person.
It's moments like these you really cherish. It's not always rainbows and butterflies but when you're in the moment, really in the moment and enjoying who you're with, everything else seems to fade away. No worries, just enjoying now, him and I.
