New Years, where resolutions are told to your friends just as people tell you they "CrossFit" when it first became a thing, or that you are paleo when that was a "new" form of dietary restriction. The majority of the time these conversations start as a minor topic at the front end of the night and end with some really awesome transformation and goal as the alcohol mixed together inside one's stomach. These are the thoughts I have when I think of myself at a new years eve party sitting in the corner talking to people who find out I am a strength coach, lol. This New Years Eve was different, as was the new years day to follow, there was no party, there was no conversation even close to this but, there was definitely drinking. I partied by putting flooring down with my wife in our bathroom, LMAO. That's right, I totally got old and did housework on New Years followed by waking up early the next day and working for 3 hours in the morning with clients who did not want to take the day off.

Anto DIY

For those of you who do not know me, I am not the biggest DIY guy especially when it comes to house repair and "work". I can do things that do not require measuring and structural stuff pretty well but when cuts, angles, wood, and lining things up come into play I'm an idiot. Needless to say, this was one of the "bigger tasks I tried to do. Julia ended up doing all the hard work cutting around the floor around the toilet so I cannot even brag about it too much. I was useful for pulling the sink out and being the grunt for cutting basically. One week prior to this we also put this flooring in our mudroom and our brother in law had to come behind us and do a bunch of fancy floorboards and molding cause I didn't know what the F, about any of it, I digress. The bathroom took about 6-7 hours and I was beat by the end of it. Had a good buzz going so I had another beer and Julia, the kids and I were passed out by 10 pm, it got kinda crazy. This style of "recovery" will be part of my GPP phase in my new ebook, stay tuned.
