Ok, let's jump right into this one if you are going to post all your new years eve fitness resolutions on social media let me be the first to say WE DONT BELIEVE YOU.

Year in and year out we see you posting all your cool new fitness swag. We watch you posting your new running shoes your new iPod and anything else to show us how dedicated you are. Bullshit! The same people posting that mess are the same ones on St Patrick's day back to their usual ways.

If you're a powerlifter posting 2017 is my year followed by a shit load of hashtags proclaiming future greatness just stop. Having goals are great I have some myself both short term and long term, but telling us how you WILL squat 900 lbs this year no matter what when you haven't even squatted 700 yet is ridiculous.

If you feel the need to post these things so social media can "hold you accountable" again you might need to reassess some things in your training.

I'm going to drop some free advice on you, yeah I'm in the giving spirit today. Train your ass off, smash your goals THEN post that shit. If I see a guy/and or girl in July saying "I set such and such goal this January" and today I finally got that monkey off my back I promise you people will take you so much more serious.

One of you geeks will start the whole I don't care if anyone takes me serious or not "I do this for me." Sure you do, that's why you're on social media posting every time you're at the gym or anytime you get a reverse band four rep post meet summertime PR.

Stop trying to make people think you're about this or that, just put the damn work in, and let your number talk.
