Summer is upon us and like usual, my training intensifies and I can spend more time in the gym. I have my plate full with business goals and things to accomplish on that end. Mattie has restructured my training a bit and there is not officially an "event" day at this point. I am in the early stages of my prep for Pro Women's Worlds in late October and am still eagerly awaiting the events to be listed so I can develop a more thorough plan.

Hammer Curls

Important Observations:

1. On my push press I was making outstanding progress with the leg explosion and moving the weight quickly. As the weights went up, this became more difficult. This is an area that I will continue to focus on during warm up sets and slowly build into heavier sets. It would be nice to move past the 200 axle mark in this lifetime.

2. The arm and wrist flexibility continue to be major issues. Now we have tossed in shoulder issues on the press which continue to mount. Close grip takes it's toll. I have a date with Mattie to get into the gym and work on some things with him to find some improvements. I cut out Z Presses. I am at a critical point with all of these things. Fix the issue or end up paying the price later.

3. Again, wrist issues on front squats. Said forget it and used the SSB backwards. SO much easier except that brief moment when I lost my balance backwards and almost snapped my neck due to the long handles trailing behind me.
