I entered in last weeks workouts and had the luxury of reliving the workouts. I especially reminisced about my squat workout. I squatted 600 lbs and it was not easy. It was hard. I'm not sure I had 605 in me. It made me consider a lot of things. I have had a pretty sweet 15 years on the platform. I remember equipped squatting my first 900, 950, 1000, and 1050 squat. I remember squatting my first raw with wraps 700, 725, 750, and my all time pr of 765. I even remember squatting raw without wraps my first 600, 650, 300kilos , 675 and 700 and 700 plus squats. And here I am al these years later establishing a squat max of 600 to restart a squat cycle after a long layoff. At first I said to my self I can't believe I took of 3 months to heal up and let my self lose so much strength. I then realized that I have done this multiple times. I squatted 1050 and then thought hey why not just wear wraps. I hit the reset button restarted at 700 and spent 2 years working my way to 765. I then re hit the reset button and went with just a belt. I started at 650 and worked my way up to 710. So I'm now hitting the reset button again. If powerlifting teaches you anything in life it's that it does not matter where you start. It only matters where you finish. I'm realized that I am lucky that I can still hit the reset button. One day I won't have one so I'm going to ht it hard this year.
