I was kind of nervous going into physio yesterday, I missed attending two appointments last week due to having this terrible cold that is going around but I still did my physio work at home.
The first thing she asked me was how are you doing put up your arms so I raised both my arms and to my surprise they were both identical I could reach straight up with both, she asked which arm is it ?
That is progress, my range of motion is doing excellent, my pain is pretty much non-existent, just a few bouts here and there, nothing I can't handle. I got to start using light resistance bands and I even got to do pushups on the wall.
I actually got a good sweat going and felt muscle fatigue yesterday in my Rotator cuff, something I haven't felt for a long time. It brought back a spark, lit the fire that was slowly burning out.
My traps and bicep feel pumped again, they had gone a bit flat to say the least, you know the old saying, "Use it or loose it"
I go see my surgeon next week and hope to get the go-ahead to start lifting lightly again, cross your fingers for me.
So here's to rest, rehab and renewed confidence !
