Unfortunately, there is still crazy high volume and uncomfortable heart rates that will ensue. The goal for today was to be able to take 405 for all prescribed sets and reps. I went with, wide stance box squats since my glutes and hamstrings have been slacking from my past two training cycles. The box was higher than I would have liked it but I get another shot at this movement next week so I would like to go up 20lbs and down one hole. If you guys are into so masochistic stuff I would highly suggest the front foot elevated set rep scheme. I hate the burning that comes with high volume, this had me angry by the end of it.
Leg curls – 2x10 warm ups4,5,6, then 3x12, drop set last set: 7,5,3
Box Squat (any specialty bar) with pause – warm up to a challenging set of 8 and do 2 sets at that weight: 405
Hack squat – 3x12, pause on safeties if you can for each rep. 275,275,295
Front foot elevated split squat – 8 reps, 8 second hold x4. Then switch legs. Just 1 set: 50 lbs
Leg extensions – 3x8, then 4th set do 8 reps, hold 5 drop set x3: 80,70,45
