Competed in the Florida's Strongest Man competition, Level II NAS, and placed 2nd. Congratulations to my girl Candice who placed 1st!
Quick re-cap:
Started off rocky with my first event. Log just crushed me. But came back and PR'd on the yoke walk (400lbs x 6ft), frame carry (350lbs x 60ft), and Circus DB press (80 lbs x 60 seconds).
My favorite event was the surprise medley. We did not know the event until the rules meeting, and we were not aware of the weight until the implements were set up ready for us to go. It ended up being:
120lbs sandbag x 60 ft, run back. 175lbs keg x 60 ft, run back. 150lb duck walk (these I've never done and were tough!) x 30 ft. We had to complete the medley in 60 seconds and my timing was 51 seconds. I will post videos once I get them all from those who filmed. My phone was dead for the majority of the day.
I do want to thank everyone who wished me well and luck. A big thank you to the battelaxe crew who came to cheer us on. You guys are family and it meant the world to have your support. My brother who is a pain but can make me laugh until I cry, thank you for all you do.
A special thank you to Mike -- we have been training partners for about a year and this competition was bitter sweet knowing that I'll be leaving. I appreciate the knowledge you have passed on and grateful for all the cleaning lady jokes. Congrats on a great performance, as well.
Congratulations!
Wanted to personally congratulate Kayla Goyette for kicking ass in her meet with a 60lb total PR. Mario D'Amico with a 96lb total PR and elite total at 220. And Casey Williams for qualifying to compete in the Arnold. Way to represent!
Today is also Casey William's birthday. Make sure to send her love and best wishes with private message nudes fellas.
Happy birthday Charlie! Xoxo
