Allow me to reintroduce myself
I realize with the introduction of new team members means there might be new readers. Welcome!
I'm 27 years old, painfully Canadian, and compete in the 132lb class (ranked 18th in 2018).
I am gearing up for a meet on July 27th - an RPS meet in Florida where I plan to compete in the 123lb class for the first time.
Before working with my current coach, and teammate Brian Schwab, I was coached by powerlifting legend Steve Goggins. Adding to that list, I also have the pleasure of calling teammate Jo Jordan a training partner. To say I have learned from the best would be an understatement. I'd say I'm lucky, but I don't really believe in luck.
I am in my second year of studying Health Sciences to add to the challenge of balancing meet prep, dieting, and full-time wife/dog mom duties.

Reverse Band Deadlifts

The fourth week of each four-week training cycle Brian programs reverse band deadlifts. The previous cycle I had used average bands and worked up to 440x5. Today light bands were programmed. For those who aren't well versed in band work, this means that the weight will be considerably heavier than last week at the bottom of the movement where the band tension is the highest.
