Saturday kicked off bright and early. We grabbed breakfast as a team and headed to the compound to meet our groups again and get started.
I won't go through all the details but the girls had some impressive squats, the guys had some great benches, and everyone made big strides on their deadlift. We had a couple members of Purdue Barbell's team with us, a fellow RUM competitor, some TPS members (Murph's gym), young, old, and everywhere in between. I don't know how many PR's our group set but as a collective there were 164 PR's set by the attendees that day.
Dave Tate finished the day for us as he talked through the squat. Vincent Dizenzo talked through the bench. And Steve Goggins the deadlift. Basically they brought up what issues we saw the most of as coaches and how to address them. And then a special guest....Mr. House of Biceps himself, Clint Darden, gave heartfelt motivational speech that left the room teary eyed and standing to applaud him. It hit home for me because Clint was the first team member of EliteFTS that I started following. And he has been a huge help in my success and has done so in a short time. We've spoken on the phone a handful of times and I can't tell you how much he sacrifices for the team and for his family. The guy is a savage. I hope I can return the favor for him in some way or another in the future.
That night we initiated the new members. It got weird. Murph is weird, great, but weird.
