Its been 10 days since I've touched a barbell and my training leading up to the meet was less than I was used to volume wise. So I am missing the iron more than I should post meet.
So to get my fix, I signed up for sculpt and flow:
Combines weights & power yoga flow heated.
The class begins with sun salutations and leads into sun salutations with weights. Britt's awesome - just generally and how thoughtful she was to reserve the 'heavier' weights for me. The class incorporates strength training and cardio movements with longer asana holds which are more challenging for me because my core strength sucks. Then it ends with stretching and cooling down. I try to meditate the last 5 minutes.
Next 30 days will be yoga 2-3x per week
Salsa/Bachata Classes 1x per week (my challenge and goal is to compete next year as well)
Plan the next 3 months of training. Aiming to compete in July and accomplish a pro total and set RPS records.
1080 is the goal.
1100 is the BHAG (big hairy audacious goal).
